Welcome Ram to the newest version of the Midgard game, BUT this is NOT the old Midgard game. Many factions are in the process of being Dropped or Changed. I can tell you from what I have heard, The Imperial Kingdom exists. The Cymru Kingdom exists. The Boda exist but are planned on be altered slightly. The Seeker Faith very much exists. Now There are a number of proposed Sub-Factions also being designed like the Brotherhood, and the Buccaneers. The rest of the factions are either changing or on the chopping block. This is really the Knightguild game system model, and many former factions just don’t cut it. I believe this will be made crystal clear in the 3rd Beta Test turn, as Jon is currently focusing Front Page Actions for Beta Turn 2.
You can only be a senior within one faction. Now you could be a member lets say of the Boda, and also declare that you follow the Seeker Faith. Or you could be a declared Cymru player member, and declare to follow the Seeker fath. Or you could be a declared Seeker religious member, and clare to support the Cymru kingdom.
There is a PRE – Preach Skill and yes it still very much exists within the game
OK I will say lets wait and see what is discovered In Game once the game actually starts. I don’t think you will discover much during Beta test, but I think most of it will start once the game actually starts to play. Who knows maybe their both cannibals and they will eat everyone.
Nigel, now I corrected my comments a few post later to state that the Imperial holdings are in Northern Midgard only. These other two Kingdoms are in Southern Midgard, and nothing at game start is known about them. Basically players will need to In Game investigate these two NPC Kingdoms.
Also remember that the Imperial Kingdom Invaded Midgard and took down the Old Kingdom, that was there. The only remaining families are the Boda, Getham, and Roder. You also had the Banner, Gift, and Ring religions up there as well. So those three families are going to want to reclaim their former Kingdom and drive the invaders from their lands.
Now I it doesn’t take a genius to think that these other two Kingdoms in Southern Midgard are most likely not going to be too in love with the Imperials or trust them either. Honestly I am not sure, but look at it from their perspective. They would most likely see the Imperials as invaders that destroyed the larger Old Kingdom, and they are now trying to crush the three remaining families, subdue the local religions, and they want to increase their holdings. How do you think they are going to be viewing the Imperials…I will let you think about it.
Also everything listed is “Core“, there is NOTHING non-Rules @Daniel. Everything listed is directly from the Rulebook 100% as is written within the rulebook v3. There is no false information, everything is live and real. Also this is all verified as In-Game information.

All factions have (8) skills now, we Cymru / Seekers settled on what skills we have for our two factions. A 8th was added to each of the other factions, but the seniors when those other factions get seniors can make their own choices of what skills they truly want.
What was proposed was:
Imperial: +GRD – Guarding
Cymru: swap ENT for STW – Streetwise, add +GRD – Guarding
Boda: +JOU – Jousting
Getham: +GRD – Guarding
Roder: +JOU – jousting
Sea Wolves / The Brotherhood: +CAR – Cartogrophy or +PCB – Personal Combat
Banner: +GRD – Guarding
Gift: +ARH – Architecture
Ring: +MYS – Mysticism
Seekers: +ARC – Archeology
Cult: +STE – Stealth
These are what was proposed to be added to existing list of skills. As stated the seniors can alter this skill list for their faction once they get set up. The Cymru and Seekers have already gone through this.

Welcome Nick to the Beta Test of Midgard. I know you will have a great time, if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask here on the forum or you can email me (Penn) and I will be happy to answer anything for you.
Please have a look at our two factions on website pages:
– Cymru Kingdom
– Seekers of Knowledge (Religion)
We have Public pages for everyone, and Members Only section for factional members for more secure game data / information. You can also easily see the seniorship of both factions, and can easily email any of the faction’s seniors.
NOTE: With the game soon to open and live, factional websites will develop. Jon says he will create a new tab for these to be listed on.June 4, 2020 at 5:30 pm in reply to: Roll Call – list of names to establish who is present. #2023
Welcome F. to the game, please look at the Rulebook in the Downloads tab above Version 8.3. If need be contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if need be and I can send you a copy if you need it. Look at the Factions section as well too.
Take care, Penn
What ever it takes Jon, it is perfectly fine. Anything in life that is worth while, is something that doesn’t come easy but rather takes time. So take the time to get settled in your new home and when you are ready to start again is perfectly fine for me. I have waited now some 20+ years, I can wait a couple more weeks!

Hi there Jorge, can we have a contact email for your please? If you could please email me please.
I would have both MERCs retain the ability to train any clan’s troops still, and I like the idea about the negative to having to many of either office within a city too. I would think their skill sets should be slightly different as well to fit their factional characters. Both have their Pros and Cons, and I would think they would want to spread across the world and be in every city regardless which Kingdom. The two Merc factions would have a strong rivalry with one another, and yes they would fight against each other. I also agree that they shouldn’t have declared cities, or if they do end with one they sell it off to another faction for a real nice price.
MV – Nobel Merc’s with Honor
CMD, STR, SGE, TAC, SGW, PCB, GRD – Guarding
